Join Beloved Sri Sakthi AMMA Narayani for this in person, 13-day, ‘Life with the Divine: Chanting for Change Deeksha - Sadhana Empowerment Retreat. By creating the energy for inner transformation through our sadhana, we become the peace we are seeking to offer the world.
Through Beloved AMMA's Grace, we will receive Deeksha (empowerment initiation) into a daily spiritual practice to take home and engage in a focused mantra deeksha during the retreat, to prepare us for the sublime blessing of entering the sanctum sanctorum of the Swayambu Temple to perform abhishekham (ritual bathing) of Swayambu Narayani (the Self -arising Divine Sakthi) on May 8.
Devotees will have the profound opportunity to be initiated into these practices empowered by Beloved AMMA. Enjoy the devotional practices of yoga, pranayama, chanting and meditation for a ‘Life with the Divine’.
The retreat is open to all existing devotees and those who are new to meeting Beloved Sri Sakthi AMMA and wish to strengthen their connection to the Divine within.
THE JOURNEY
Retreat Itinerary
During the 13 day immersion into the heart of the Divine Mother, some time will be spent directly with Beloved Sri Sakthi AMMA to receive Amma's wisdom and blessings , as well as daily sessions facilitated by Amma's trained devotees.
We will also have the opportunity to visit and participate in the humanitarian projects of Beloved AMMA, including education, environment, and feeding people. With selfless service, hearts will be wide open!
Additionally, retreat participants will receive a personal Siddha doctor consultation and traditional Abhyanga (oil) body massage and there will be plenty of time in the schedule for daily practices and additional treatments for our healing, rejuvenation, and inner peace!
In this retreat we will:
+ Participate in Chanting for Change Deeksha to purify negative energy and create the inner transformation to be more receptive to the Divine and prepare for May 8 Swayambu Narayani Abhishekam blessings.
+ Enter Swayambu Narayani temple to perform Abhishekam of Swayambu Narayani and receive spiritual rebirth.
+ Practice daily Pranayama, Mantra and Meditation empowered by AMMA and receive AMMA's Deeksha into this take home practice

DR. JAGATAMBE NARAYANI
Dr Jagatambe Narayani lives and breathes Sri Sakthi Amma's teachings. Her life is dedicated to serving Beloved AMMA.
As an integrative clinical psychologist, wisdom teacher and expert healer, Dr Jagatambe combines her psychological training with the teachings and practices of Sri Sakthi Amma and wisdom of Vedic philosophy and Bhakti Yoga to provide deep transformation in a specialist supportive environment.
Dr Jagatambe has spent most of the last 13 years living, studying and serving in Sri Sakthi Amma’s Peedam. Jagatambe’s bliss has been to lead and co-facilitate retreats in India and sacred sites around the world for many years.
DR. L JANANI
Experienced Siddha Consultant, Dr Janani has over 15 years of clinical and research expertise.
Prior to coming to the Sri Narayani Holistic Centre, Dr Janani worked as a Siddha Consultant and medical administrator for the AYUSH (Government Ministry for the promotion of Traditional Medicines) at the President's Estate, New Dehli.
Dr Janani has also published over 21 articles on Siddha medicine in national and international medical journals and delivered many invited lectures and conference presentations.
Through her devotion to Beloved AMMA, and under the direct guidance from AMMA, Dr Janani has further developed her wisdom and clinical purvey. Receiving care and consultation from Dr Janani is a blessing!
Our Hosts
By the Grace and invitation of Sri Sakthi Amma, our long-time devotees, who are deeply rooted in Amma's teachings, will take on exciting roles as group leaders and discussion facilitators. Sonya Bekkerman from the US, Praveen Somasuneram from Sri Lanka, Jules Ward, from Australia and Prithvi Narayani from Canada with bring their passion and energy to guide us, making this experience even more meaningful and engaging!

Accommodation
Set in the nurturing and tranquil environment of the Sri Narayani Holistic Centre, we will have time for treatments, yoga, rest and devotional practices. Also, accessing the nearby Sripuram and Sri Narayani Peedam temple complexes for super charged rejuvenating energy and Vedic rituals of Divine grace!
Three healthy Ayurvedic / South Indian vegetarian meals will be provided daily. Accommodation and meals are included as part of the retreat.
THE SETTING
Sri Narayani Peedam and Sripuram
Sri Narayani Peedam is the Seat of the Divine Mother. Pujas (sacred Vedic rituals) are performed daily to continually cultivate the Divine energy, which can be felt and received by those who spend time in the temple complex.
In 2007, Amma consecrated the Sripuram Golden Temple, which has become a spiritual oasis for people of all religions. The intention behind Sripuram is for each person to realize the purpose of their birth, inspiring them to transform into enlightened beings.
Depending on the time of year, between 6 000 and 60 000 visitors per day will come to Sripuram, from all over the world, to experience the positive vibrations of Divinity at work.

Retreat Contribution
The heartfelt contribution for this 13-day retreat is $2700 AUD
A contribution of ($1800 AUD) and registration is required before April 20th, 2026.
Any cancellation will be non-refundable, but may be transferred to another person.
The remaining $900 AUD must be paid at the Sri Narayani Holistic Centre, along with any additional treatments that will be billed separately.

Ladies Holiday… special notes for women
Amma has provided advice during the retreat for ladies monthly period (ladies holiday). As it is "detoxification happening monthly in women’s body”, and a time where the pranas of the body are not conducive to intense spiritual energy. It is a time when going to temple and holy places is not permitted. The body is also very sensitive and it is therefore best to rest during this time.
Day 1-4 of menstruation: GENERAL REST- can not attend Group Sadhana or activities, the temple complex or practice any puja).# Please keep these requirements in mind when you book for the retreat.
CHANTING FOR CHANGE NARAYANI SADHANA DEEKSHA IMMERSION
AMMA’s intention for this retreat is to provide an opportunity for devotees to deepen their connection with the Divine through receiving spiritual practices empowered by AMMA and through their immersion in the retreat environment.
Participants will receive training in a daily yoga, pranayama, mantra, and meditation routine, as well as an immersion into the Chanting for Change Deeksha, which culminates with the entry into Swayambu Temple on May 8.
On May 8 we celebrate Sri Sakthi Amma's proclamation to the world as Narayani.

“Whenever Dharma declines and Adharma rises, I take birth in the world. Now I am born here as Narayani. My Name is Sakthi Amma"
Devotees around the world will participate in the Proclamation Day initiation to celebrate Devi Narayani's birth in this world, as Sri Sakthi Amma and commit to the Dharma of the path of spirituality. Our in retreat "Chanting for change' Deeksha will remove negativity and strengthen our soul, allowing the Divine qualities of the soul shine forth and bring us into the bliss of a life with the Divine!
Being able to undertake the Deeksha in Amma's retreat setting, will greatly amplify the benefits of the Deeksha, which will culminate in the life changing opportunity of performing abhishekham for Swayambu Narayani in the sanctom sanctorum of the Swayambu Narayani Temple. Beloved Amma likens this to entering the womb space, to clear our negative karmas and vasanas (tendencies) and be reborn into the purity of our inner Divinity - our original state.
Receive initiation into daily Spiritual Practice and Chanting for Change Deeksha
DEEKSHA
Retreat participants will receive Deeksha (empowerment initiation) from Beloved AMMA into these practices. The daily sadhana practice will be taught and established in the retreat environment, empowered by Beloved AMMA, and continued after the retreat as an ongoing sadhana (committed spiritual practice). Undertaking the Mantra Deeksha during the retreat will be greatly amplified in the retreat setting and prepare us for the Divine rebirth opportunity that the May 8 Puja brings.
Deeksha means initiation or ignition. It means receiving a spark from the ‘great power.’ The soul of the Master acts as the spark which ignites the flame for the soul of the devotee.
Receiving Deeksha from a Master is already a profound blessing. However, receiving Deeksha directly from the Divine is a priceless Grace.
Following the Deeksha (empowerment initiation), the devotees are required to maintain a 30 -minute daily practice and be blessed to have received a complete chakra cleansing and balancing to support their ongoing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual empowerment for a ‘Life with the Divine.’
