Sri Narayani Holistic  Centre

 

The Sri Narayani Holistic Centre also offers accommodation, Ayuvedic and Siddha Treatments and access to the Sripuram Sri Narayani Peedam temple complex. Internet and phone service are available. Please bring your own toiletries, or they can be purchased in Vellore. 

 

  • Standard Room (Small) with 3 meals  3,000/-Indian Rupees plus tax 540 INR per night

  • Deluxe Room (Large) with 3 meals 3,500/INR plus taxes 630 INR per night​

Getting to Peedam

​The Taxi drive from Chennai to Tirumalaikodi (Peedam) takes approximately 2.5-3.5 hours (depending on traffic):

  • Small car 4000/INR (approx. $71 AUD) 

  • Large car 5500/INR (approx. $97 AUD)

​


From Bangalore the drive takes 4.5 hours :

  • Small car 6500/INR (approx. $115 AUD) 

  • Large car 9000/INR (approx. $160 AUD)

Accomodation

The Peedam guest-house, Kamala Nivas, offers 60 rooms with A/C, ensuite bathrooms, filtered water, and three delicious vegetarian meals a day. Internet and phone service are available. Please bring your own toiletries, or they can be purchased in Vellore. 

 

  • Standard Room (Small) with breakfast 2,500/-Indian Rupees plus tax 300 INR per night

  • Deluxe Room (Large) with breakfast 3,500/INR plus taxes 420 INR per night​

  • Extra Bed @1120 

  • Other guest houses have a series of units for various budget options:

    • A & B block (with A/C) 1700/INR per night,  food not included 

    • C block (without A/C) 1200/INR per night, food not included

Volunteer Holiday

There are many opportunities to volunteer at the Narayani Peedam. Depending on your skills here are some of the things you could do:

  • work in the Hospital,

  • teach English at the School,

  • feed the children before they start school,

  • care for toddlers at the Nursery,

  • plant trees with the Green Shakthi Program,

  • look after animals at the Cow and Dog Shelters,

  • offer food to people,

  • cleaning and decorating in the Temples,

  • music programs,

  • recycling,

  • care for the plants

  • and many more opportunities.
